Let’s examine some of the popular lies that Christians often accept as facts. Premillennialism Began With Darby In spite of overwhelming evidence that Premillennialism dominated the first three centuries of the church, many scoffers insist it began with John Darby, which alone makes it unacceptable to them.

You lost me there. Many before Darby (including some of the Early Church Fathers) indeed held millennial views, but no one before Darby held today's pre-millennial Dispensationalist schema of the End Times before him. Not even the Reformers. It was almost entirely his own invention.

The majority of Christians today (and who have ever lived, for that matter) do not ascribe to this schema. It was not developed until the early 19th century. It originated in England but is mostly held by many (not all) American evangelicals and fundamentalists and is not the historic interpretation or position among Christians. As the majority of Christians in the world are either Catholic, Orthodox and other Eastern Churches who do not ascribe to modern Dispensationalism vastly outnumber the American influenced Evangelical Protestants and Protestant Fundamentalists that are the ones who primarily embrace modern Dispensationalism, it is important to point out that it doesn't represent the views of most Christians.

I know it makes some Rapturists angry that other Christians would dare to point out there are differing views among Christians about this, but it is what it is.

If y’all can recall, there was a true coffee-table sized book with all the charts and explanations of Dispensationalism, I believe first printed in the early 1900’s.

The author had worked evrrything out to all events, and then God’s reich.

Premillennialism is a message of profound significance for believers today and one that pastors must proclaim. I say this because this message: Glorifies the Lord as a promise-keeper to both Israel and to us as New Testament saints. Reassures believers of their hope in these perilous times. Provides a much-needed counter to the anti-Semitic mindset of our day.

I wonder what the premillennial-denialists think about all the words of the prophets and Jesus concerning it? Did they just say it all in jest? Are they all just allegorical? If allegory, then where do you ever draw the line between what is true prophecy and allegory? How can anyone know what is to come or be able to "watch and pray"? How can the promises of Almighty God be trusted if no one knows what His promises really are?

I will trust in what God has said and rest in His precious promises because He has told us things before they happen so that when they DO happen, we will know He is the TRUE God. He doesn't play games!
