Zechariah 13
1 In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness.

1- Fountain a place to be baptized for remission of sins.

2- Inhabitants of the house of David and Jerusalem,(are citizens of Jerusalem, and are called Jews.)

Inhabitants of American are of various nationalities and race but are still Americans if born or naturalized.

I think you are right, but I also think they may be a little more to the concept.

There are Christian and Muslim inhabitants of Jerusalem. Are they also called "Jews?"
