I take it, then, that your own church teaches that abortion is not okay? That's right, and if a Pastor gets involved in sexual sin, HE is not sent off to find new victims elsewhere. He is defrocked. This method works, something that all churches should try.

if a Pastor gets involved in sexual sin, HE is not sent off to find new victims elsewhere. He is defrocked. This is how it used to work in the Catholic Church thirty or forty years ago. One of these guys was selling his services to the local Pentacostal church as a lecturer on the evils of the Catholicism when our local K of C council "outed" him. The irony is that one of the Knights who went to hear him said he seemed to be a nice guy, and [robably except for his "weakness" he probably was. The "lavender" mafia that has entraneched itself in the Church is the past generation is a different story. I think now that the bishops will now stop listening to the lawyers and get rid of these bastards.

Even a congregational church will sometime buy out a transgressor because he has supporters in the congregation who believe in him and to "out" him would provoke schism in the Church.
