Where did you come up with this. I believe you are confusing the Kabah the Black Stome which is the focus of the Haj with the MAQAM IBRAHIM the step-stone used by Prophet Ibrahim during the original construction of the Kabah. The stone carries the imprints of his feet, and is housed in a glass enclosure on the north side of the Kabah.
The Kabah is dedicated to the Moon God Allah. Its origins pre-date the Muslim era and it was a Cultic shrine even in Mohammed's time and the people of Mecca had a thriving tourist industry for pilgrims to the over 300 gods which were worshipped there. It was only 2 years before Mohammed's death in 630 ce, that the Moslems took control of Mecca and cleansed the Kabah, establishing it as the center for worship of Allah.
