There is so much written about the REAL PRESENCE of Christ in the Eucharist (Transubstantiation) by the early Fathers, one wonders how anyone, who studies Church history with an open mind and heart to the truth, can miss the consistent teaching.

I had a thread I was on last week where a guy said that when Jesus said "That unless you eat my flesh and drink my blood you have no life in you" was OBVIOUSLY metaphorical. I pointed out all the references to the Holy Eucharist throughout the gospels, and pointed to the early church fathers where they obviously took Jesus literally and therefore we share the Last Supper with Him daily or weekly.

Do you by chance have passages you have used that Protestants take LITERALLY when they are far less clear or emphatic as The Gospel of John?

OR, steer me in the right direction. Thanks and God bless.

P.S. Does anyone know why many Protestants will not post "God" but instead "G*d?"
