Can't use Pledge of Allegiance to comply with law (Pledge Banned in Madison, WI Schools) On the Glenn Beck Radio Program this morning, he played excerpts from an interview between Art Rainwater, Superintendent of the Madison School system, and two morning talk-radio hosts in Tampa (I believe). The interview was ASTONISHING. [N.B. You may listen to a streaming audio of this morning's show HERE. Please note that this was the October 10 program, and won't be available until tomorrow (10/11). Also note that the portion of the program devoted to this topic occurred in the second hour of the "Morning" segment].
Some of the highpoints:
1. The school board's 3-2 decision wasn't really as "close" as it might appear. The two who voted AGAINST the measure did so because they wanted NO display of patriotism, NOT EVEN THE NATIONAL ANTHEM! In other words, the "conservative" board members were those who voted for the Anthem music-only, and NO pledge!
2. Rainwater claimed that "this was initiated by the teachers of our district who immediately saw the 'danger' of what was going to happen, and called me urging the Board to stop it at all costs." When one of the interviewers asked "how many calls did you get?" Rainwater responded "well, that doesn't matter. You see, for each call that we get on an issue like this we know there are about twenty people who feel just as threatened but are afraid to do anything about it, fearing retaliation by the hate groups in our society." (To Rainwater, "patriots" are merely members of a "hate group.")
3. Glenn Beck gave out the actual TELEPHONE NUMBER of Rainwater's office and urged everyone who is concerned to call him DIRECTLY. Said Beck, "If Rainwater thinks he got some concerned calls before, wait till he gets the calls condemning him and his stupid school district."

The key here is not so much to let 'em know how you feel, but to let this Leftist loser feel what it's like to REALLY get some irate calls! He was so concerned about the TEACHERS calling trying to "stop the insanity." Let him know what it's like when PATRIOTS take up the hue and cry.

Glenn Beck has been on in Tampa 970 WFLA for over a year. He was the afternoon guy, he still is actually. He is doing two shows a day.
That interveiw was unbelievable. Beck is great, I love his Jim Dingle bit and the Afghan radio spoof.
All I have to say is "Your a bunch of sick freaks"
