The Bush WH has been almost comically inept about getting their message out since Karen Hughes left. The DPW imbroglio is only the latest in the cases where they have been right, and they lost in the PR flurry. The next (or current) mess is how they're handling the Medicare Part D fuss. Medicare Part D is private plans. That should be very attractive to Conservatives. But we are led to believe (from the Libs) that this is a gov't program. It's not. It's a gov't subsidy to get private plans established for older Americans. We're left with hoping that...

I'm asking for help in a discussion I'm having with a Liberal. Last Friday and Saturday, delegations from Congress went to inspect the prison camp at Gitmo. I caught a brief interview with Sheila Jackson-Lee, where she said that she was going to "expose" the wrongdoing there. My bet was that the MSM would cover the Dems with a litany of complaints, and ignore the GOP side. We both expected coverage of the trips on Sun. am. I can't find a word about it anywhere. Could someone post a pointer to an article or discussion?

Needless excerpting is making this site more of a pain than a source of information. Would anyone other than me like to see an "excerpt flag" on title lines so we know which posts to ignore?

I live on the East Coast. When clintoon was President, we had mild winters and cool summers. Now Bush is President. Last year, we had a hot summer and severe drought. Now we have a bitter cold winter with crippling snow, and now serious flooding. This is happening on Bush's watch, so his environmental policy must be responsible. {duck}
