Cats have always been known for their mysterious and independent nature. They can be a source of unconditional love and comfort for their humans, but they also possess a streak of cunning and aloofness. In a recent incident, a homeowner found himself locked out of his house, with the keys safely inside. Little did he know, his feline companions held the power to either let him in or leave him stranded outside.

Yes, I do too, but I especially love my little abused rescue. He’s had to fight for life almost since he was weaned, and I’m sure he was probably the runt of the litter, since his tail is “deformed.”

Between being feral the first part of his life and being a shelter cat the next part, I’m here to make sure the rest of his life is as good as it can be!

Good morning. Happy Twosday!

We have good weather today.

Mrs. ArGee is off to get her implant work looked at to make sure things are going OK. I’ll be walking the Princess in a few before my 9am meeting.

Mrs. ArGee is looking for shoes for her mom since her feet hurt. “Actually, they don’t hurt “except right here.” Anyway, we have 4 pairs of shoes coming, of which 3 will be returned. Online shopping is so much fun.

Not bad on the Wordle front today.

Good Morning!

We actually have a nice sunny (and somewhat less humid) day on tap... first time in quite some time... and the 10 day outlook actually quite nice after we get through the Thursday deluge...

I thought that the Wordle was interesting pattern for me today...

I get it, for sure. We rescued five ferals in 2011. All are loving lap-sitters except one. You can pet her, but absolutely cannot pick her up.

Over on the Bay side of the hills, today, in mild temperatures with a cooling breeze wafting in from the Pacific. Morning fog being beat back by the Sun giving way to one of those “boy, if I had a sailboat” sorts of days.

And HERE’S the result of today’s foray into the Wordleshpere...

Huz-ZAH! Haven’t played as much, lately, so the three was a welcome sight.

Sunny and warm, here! And dry!

I was over visiting with Chuck and forgot to ask him about the A/C installation. My bad. I’ll do it tomorrow.

Ah, dreaming. That.

“To sleep, perchance to dream...”

We had a nice Mother’s Day dinner with my brother, who drove about 300 miles to be there, and my one Uncle and Aunt who live there in town near her. I snipped some fresh roses for her out of my front yard and we spent about 7 hours together.

With Mom’s recovery she’s had to move to a different place, and I’m the de facto designated mover. So, I have several decent-sized boxes worth of... papers, books, and assorted bric-a-brac to pack — MOST of which will not come to her new, much smaller place. There will be a couple of end tables, at least two living room swivel/rocking chairs, maybe a 7ft sofa — all of the overflow has to come home with me, and this all has to happen on a weekday as my weekends are booked solid. Fortunately, I have my youngest son living with me, and he can lend a strong back and a pair of arms.

It’ll all work out; it’s just seeing it looming on the calendar, and considering the doing of it that’s onerous.

After that, this will be The Summer Of Decluttering; it HAS to be or I’ll be swept out on the tide. There’s a small thrift shop nearby where I can take some things; I won’t saddle them with junk, but anything in good shape that I can’t otherwise unload.

Frank and I took some stuff to Goodwill today: his clothes and his dad’s. They still have plenty!

What a face! LOL!

Good morning! I hope you had a good night, with no interruptions.

Today is pain clinic day, and it’s later than usual, and I hate that. But at least it will be a beautiful sunny day again.

Good morning, Happy Humph Day!

Kitteh looks to have crashed and burned, just like me. I can’t wait for Memorial Day and an extra day off.

We had really nice weather yesterday. Today it’s raining and probably will be all day. I’ll have Princess duty while Mrs. ArGee takes her dad to the cardiologist.

She’s having trouble getting her brother to help her fill out the resuscitation instructions sheet the palliative care doctor gave her. She’d like them filled out soon. Apparently the discussion causes emotional problems for her brother.

Not a bad Wordle today. A lucky guess is always better than a great strategy.

It’s 64° and will get into the high 80’s today — nice and dry! It will soon be time to turn on the A/C and live with the noise, though it isn’t too bad.

I need to get the one set up in the bedroom. If I could lift it, it would already be done. Then I could have white noise to sleep by. ;o]

Please don’t try to lift it! Call for some strong people to help. There’s got to be someone in your community with teenbros.

I’m thinking about the guy across the way. I’ll talk to Chuck, but I don’t know if the guy will expect payment for it or not. Chuck may have the wood for the window, but I can’t install the A/C without the wood. We’ll see. Stay tuned!

Right now, I’m going to go take a shower. It’s the least I can do for the pain clinic.
