What’s Inside Johnny Carson’s $81.5 Million Malibu Beach House?
Cheatsheet ^ | 01/20/2021 | Katie Hook

Posted on 01/22/2022 9:50:20 AM PST by ChicagoConservative27

As The Tonight Show’s pioneering host, Johnny Carson left behind a huge fortune and a fabulous clifftop mansion when he died in 2005. And when the home went up for sale again in 2017, it came with an asking price of $81.5 million.

What kind of custom features does the architectural dream that once belonged to Carson have? Plus, when did he buy it, how much did he pay for it, and was anyone willing and able to put down more than $80 million to live in it more than ten years after his death?

I agree. Johnny let him run at the mouth when came to sit
down too. The things he would spout there were some of the
funniest self-deprecating examples of humor I’ve ever heard.

‘Uh, did I have it bad growing up? The doctor who delivered
me, looked at my mom and said, “Sorry, we did everything we
could, but he lived.”’

“One day my mom sent me to the pharmacy to pick up meds.
When I came home my parents had moved, with no forwarding
address.”

“Acne? Sure I had acne. I had it bad! (Carson, “How bad?)
I’ll tell you how bad it was. It was bad! Why it was so
bad I once fell asleep in the library. When I woke up a
blind man was reading my face.”

“The other day I had a very tough day. (Carson, “How tough
was it?) I got off work and hailed a cab. I asked the guy,
you got any nude photos? The taxi driver handed me a photo
of my wife. So I says to the guy, take me where I can have some fun, you know... So he drove me to my house.”

“I tell ya Johnny, I get no respect.”

Carson’s old show....

Yeah but didn’t it lack BLM theory awareness and an honest acknowledgment of white racism? And not one anti-American skit. Just comedy.

Kidding. I used to love it.

You’re “just sayin’” just right. I guess I scrolled down to the few stills before the video started.

That place and the landscaping takes my breath away. I know just enough to kind of grasp the man hours necessary for upkeep.

Truly another world. Thanks; I almost missed out.

I don’t mind the DynoMite guy. He calls himself a “logicist,” who believes in “logic and common sense”, holding conservative positions on many issues.

The Dyno-mite idiot — Jimmy JJ Walker — looks like a cadaver, and was never funny or an actor. I’d rather watch Namath, sound muted.

And how many people to water the plants each day, vacuum the floors and whatever else? I’ve never been rich so I don’t know.

If I remember correctly, Johnny U and Raymond Berry practiced one route with one or both closing their eyes.

When Berry coached, his receivers were having trouble with a route. He decided to show them how to run it. He noticed the hash marks were in the wrong place. Attention to detail.

I recall Raymond Berry talking about Weeb Eubank encouraged Unitas and Berry run their routines after regular team practice...establishing that synchroncity.

I heard the story you allude to, maybe Art Donovan talked about it. He was talking about how the duo in response to local reporter set up one night in the stadium, lights out, dark as could be and ran set plays. 30-40 yds, maybe more, where neither could really see the other, but they connected as though the stadium lights were on. Forget how many sets they ran, ten, a dozen? But zero misses. And Berry had those great hands....no stickum gloves back then.

He does but I’ll take Nameth over Jimmy “Dyn-O-Mite!” Walker’s growl on the Medicare commercials. Makes me want to throw something at the tv he’s so annoying.

That’s what I just said. Can’t stand Jimmy Walker. Remember when he tried going on the game show circuit and failed so miserably because he couldn’t read or remember his cues?

You really don't remember to much about 1968 or Super Bowl III.

Johnny Unitas was injured prior to the start of the 1968 regular season,

Of the 14. regular season games in 1968 Johnny Unitas started exactly 0 games.

Johnny Unitas did appear in 5 of the 14 regular season games completing 11 of 32 passes for 2 TDs. That is a 34.4 completion %.

It was Earl Morrall who started all 14 regular season games and led Baltimore to a great 13-1 season and won Earl Morrall the 1968 NFL MVP Award. What happen to the 1968 Baltimore Colts, who were considered one of the greatest NFL Teams of all time prior to the Super Bowl III, has been debated for many decades. Some insist that the AFL had to be legitimized before the NFL and AFL played fully integrated schedules starting in 1970. Especially after the AFL Super Bowl I and II disasters administered by the NFL Green Bay Packers. I Others suggest that the Carroll Rosenbloom, owner of the Baltimore Colts and notorious gambler, needed a big win to get out from under huge gambling debts reputedly fixed the game with other NFL biggies, His suspicious death while swimming in the surf several years later kept the fix rumors alive. One more thing about Johnny Unitas, he did get in the game and competed 11 passes matching his entire regular season number but the game was long over for most bettors who bet the point spread (as high as Jets +21). Money line bettors might have had a little scare
