A California dad has blasted his son's school for giving the child a book about a transgender boy - then allegedly forcing him to explain it to kindergartners.
Carlos Encinas' 11-year-old son was assigned to read a book called 'My Shadow is Pink' in his fifth-grade class on May 1 at La Costa Heights Elementary School in Carlsbad north of San Diego.
The book centers around a boy who describes his father's shadow as 'big' and 'blue' and his dilemma with his own shadow, which he feels is pink.
'My heart skips a beat as I put on a dress,' the main character says in the book, while wearing a gown while his shade is a feminine color.
'My shadow loves ponies and books and pink toys. Princesses and fairies and things not for boys.'
The book talks about other people's shadows.
'Her shadow, she hides it. Her shadow likes girls.'
After Encina's 11-year-old read the book in his own class, the fifth graders were told they would be sharing the story with their buddy class, a class of kindergartners the fifth graders read to and mentor.
'That's actually where he felt the most uncomfortable,' Encinas said of his son.
'These little kids look up to them. They are with them twice a month.'
Encinas and his wife reached out to the school asking why parents were not notified that their kids would be reading the book and sharing it with even younger kids.

I don’t live in Maryland (anymore) either. I just read about that strategy, which presumably can apply in any state.
Groomers teaching 11 year old to be groomers.
Parents: If you even remotely love your children, you have a solemn duty to immediately remove them from public schools. Don’t give me the crap argument that “We’re in the best district.” You’re not. They are all totally corrupt and hate you and hate your kids.
You are without excuse.

I was about to post the same point. I remember a song in "Free to Be, You & Me" about William wanting a doll, and the point was he would grow up to be a great father. Reading books & pink is for girls only now? Sheesh!
I only see two ways to fix the public school system.
1. Abolish it completely, this will NEVER happen.
2. Make it Felony Child ABuse with mandatory removal of minor children and placement into Foster Care for ANY Public Employee or Officer of the Court to enroll their minor children into any educational institution other than the Public School System.

Shockingly ignorant. Classic books have often had these themes, and they were for boys and girls alike. Andrew Lang wrote The Blue Fairy book, for example. I don’t think I’ve ever met a kindergarten boy who didn’t enjoy a fantasy story at least a little bit. Now these ignorant, sex-obsessed sickos are teaching our children that they’re gay for putting on their sister’s princess dress once time?
Remember when liberals very strongly pushed that there was no difference between boys and girls and that all should be given the same toys? That it didn’t matter if a boy played with a kitchen, because boys could play with kitchens and still be boys? Remember when liberals pushed for girls to have sports available to them at school, because girls could play sports?
