Why would this close a port?
Looking at the aerial photos it appears that at least one of the passages between the support structures could have the bridge debris cleared out and open in about a week.
But buttplugged needs to stay away from rebuilding the bridge, the gubbermit probably can't finish it until sometime around 2074 (if ever).
