A popular hotel in New York City’s Broadway District has been converted into a migrant shelter as the city continues to face an unprecedented influx of migrants from the U.S. border.

The hotel wrote on its Facebook page:

“To our valued guests: it is with great sadness that we announce the Square Hotel will be closed for the foreseeable future. We appreciate your patronage and hope to welcome you back someday soon.”

The government can’t confiscate your business that easy. It’s obvious to me there’s a huge monetary gain for these hotels to do this so I blame the hotel. It’s a simple take the money and run issue.

If the hotel was doing fine they can always say no. So it’s NYC, a liberal shxthole, it’s gone down hill significantly since Gulliani ran it, nothing but crime so I’m guessing the hotel wasn’t doing well

New York City is one weird place. Evidently it takes the National Guard to keep tourists from entering the hotel. A sign just won’t do. From the article:

“Currently, a National Guard soldier stationed at the lobby’s entrance is turning away tourists seeking a room for the night.”

I live near White Plains suburb and never venture into the city anymore, I don’t know how they will hold the tourism in the city if this carries on

The Roosevelt Hotel near Times Square was also turned over to illegals. Historic place ruined.

Such housing for illegal aliens is the future of New York City. When even the Grievance Industry can’t support the city, the only next option is the Replacement by Illegal Aliens Industry.

And garbage strewn everywhere. I also wouldn’t be surprised if parts of the building get torn apart.* Why would a hotel owner agree to such madness? Maybe there are huge financial incentives hidden in their contracts with the city.

* Side story: A guy I know made a pretty decent dollar doing repair work at a government-owned apartment building. The residents would tear out the copper pipes, the light fixtures, etc. then sell them for scrap. My friend would be called in to make the repairs.

Rinse and repeat. But he finally quit as going there. It became too dangerous.

I worked in Midtown at Rock Ctr, and on Madison Ave in advertising, from 1978-1985, and it was a decent place. Then a bedbug infestaton hit the hotels, and tourism dropped-off 90%. My wife and I went back for “Cats” on Broadway, but didn’t stay overnight; we drove nack to PA after the shows. I wouldn’t go back now, even at gunpoint.

And the owners will never be able to return to private hotel business. Once you let government in the back door, you might as well walk out the front door because they will control what was your business.
