WOW: RATINGS ARE IN FOR PETER FONDA’S NEW MOVIE AFTER SICK COMMENTS ABOUT MELANIA, BARRON TRUMP

Sony Pictures released a film starring Peter Fonda this week, even after the actor went on an unhinged, sexist, disturbing rant against President Trump’s family and members of his administration.

The film bombed at the box office as audiences and critics alike gave it a thumbs down.

The film, “Boundaries,” starring Fonda in a supporting role earned just over $30,000 since it’s release.

After it made headlines in Hollywood for the wrong reasons, Sony Pictures Classics’ “Boundaries” is off to a tepid start at the indie box office, as it opened on five screens this weekend. Directed by Shana Feste and starring Vera Farmiga and Christopher Plummer, the film has made $30,395 for a per screen average of $6,079.

The film has a 58-percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

That surprising because I’m sure everyone would want to help enrich a guy who talks about pedophilia

Off the charts money loser.

Maybe the legal department can at least claw back what they paid this loser, for screwing it up for everyone else.

$30,000 doesn’t even pay for the catering.

Maybe the studio needed a "write-off" for tax reasons.

I read that Sony was very upset with his remarks and assured the readers that Fonda had a very minor roll in the movie and to remember to support the other actors in the it (Vera Farmiga, Christopher Plummer, Lewis MacDougall, Bobby Cannavale, Kristen Schaal, Christopher Lloyd, Dolly Wells).

It was only released in 5 theaters...but it won’t do well in any more, either. Unsure how that all works, but I”m thinking we’ll probably be seeing it on the Netflix list in a few weeks.

Beyond money loser. Crash and burn.
So how did that woke virtue signaling work out for you, Sony?

Apparently the Sony statement didn’t convince...

https://screenrant.com/sony-peter-fonda-tweet-response/

“Peter Fonda’s comments are abhorrent, reckless and dangerous, and we condemn them completely. It is important to note that Mr. Fonda plays a very minor role in the film. To pull or alter this film at this point would unfairly penalize the filmmaker Shana Feste’s accomplishment, the many actors, crew members and other creative talent that worked hard on the project. We plan to open the film as scheduled this weekend, in a limited release of five theaters.”

Wasn’t he a washed up actor thirty years ago?

Career suicide by somebody with no career. He’ll never get another role again, but he’s pretty old and worth 40 million so his role was like a favor for somebody — nice favor. Maybe he was purposely sabotaging the film to hurt somebody who declared themselves a Trump supporter.

Neither Christopher Plummer or Christopher Lloyd needed this
embarrassing stumble in their lengthy portfolios. I actually didn’t know Lloyd was still alive. Sort of as with another actor;
Abe Vigoda. People thought Abe was dead at least 25 years before he passed away. He looked like death, just barely warmed over.

I am surprised and disappointed Christopher Plummer would be associated with a Turkey like this.
