It’s a lovely language, excepting Parisian French, which sounds about like a Bronx accent sounds to Americans, I think.
The only prettier language is Ladino, which is a mix of Hebrew and Spanish. Far more fluid than Yiddish, which sounds basically German and harsh, despite my people’s fondness for it. Great insults, I suppose.
Ladino is rapidly dying off. I doubt there will be native speakers in two generations.
While Parisienne French has its detractors, there are even fewer nice things to say about the Quebecois patois.
They don’t even TRY to speak so others can follow.
