It doesn’t seem like the U.S. won. Usually the losing side pays the winning side. The United States paid everything to rehabilitate Germany and Japan. They were forced to “protect the world,” and get the opposite of gratitude for it. The United States was forced to give up all their values and their way of life. It doesn’t sound anything like victory to me. I contend that the United States lost World War II.

I wouldn’t say the US lost WWII. America has ‘lost’ itself because of the prosperity that followed WWII. More money, jobs, success AND FREE TIME for leisure and learning activities that allowed the seeds of liberalism and social decadence to thrive.

You confuse expense with investment.

The money to rebuild created societies that were composed of customers that bought the goods we sold them.
***************
I don’t remember a lot about attitude in high school. it just was and consisted of both fun and work. For my family, the 50’s were prosperous times. The construction business was good.

I was in the band and that was a sub group of the student body that was special. I dated my wife our senior year of ‘59-’60. We went to different schools 200 mile apart but hung in there and were married on my graduation day. In the ultimate act of defiance, I cut college graduation to get married. Our class of ‘60 has lunch the first Friday of every month.

There was the Drive In scene, but I didn’t participate. We looked to the future and it was seen to be composed of engineers. Me and my friends were intent on engineering school.

When you met someone you learned: Where they lived, Where their dad worked and Where they went to church.

From my point of view, the 50’s were just life. Times were good. School was fun and demanding. life was good.

That’s rubbish.

The US won by such a huge margin that we were not even interested in exacting the spoils of war - we didn’t need them. It was in our best economic interest to rebuild Europe and Asia into what would become our future trading partners.

Were we necessarily the good guys? Are we still winners today? Absolutely not, but those are different questions.

Our massive WWII victory codified the Military Industrial Complex, which proceeded to poison and corrupt the world with fake fiat currency and CIA meddling. We allowed all our institutions to be infiltrated by Marxists, Hell-bent on destroying the American dream of a self-governing Constitutional Republic.

America did lose a war, but it wasn’t WWII - it was the one after that - the propaganda war that hardly anyone even knows about.
