Stupid TNT does promos over the beginning of the closing song
Mansions of the Lord, then cuts it short for a commercial.

They edited out some good parts. Still a great movie!
Does anyone see any parallels between this movie and Irag? Great leadership, volunteers, and discipline equals a dominating force.

Tremendous movie. Gibson at his best. The music - "Mansions of the Lord" was featured at Reagan's funeral. A local chorus performed it here the other day and the audience was wiping away tears.

This movie is awe inspiring. THANK YOU SOLDIERS!

This is a terrific production. Gibson, and hollyweird at their finest. Matched only by "Glory".
I will watch for the 15th time or so.

As an Ia Drang vet, what's your take on the movie's accuracy?

Thanks for the heads up, Ronnie, but I'm so sorry I didn't catch this thread in time. I was offline for awhile earlier tonight.
Is "We Were Soldiers" being run again this week or weekend? If so, I'll ping my list to that information. Thanks!

Hey buddy, it's just now starting again out here. This will make about the tenth or twelfth time I've seen it. Like it so much I even bought the DVD, but still watch it when it hits the tube.
I think a lot about Vietnam , the guys and everything, but now always a guy named ALOHA RONNIE is right up there! (^:

Do you mean that you served in that battle?? For real?? That's really, really cool. I enjoyed that movie a lot. Did the movie accurately portray this battle?

Thank you for your service. "We Were Soldiers" has to be the best Vietnam War movie ever made. TNT must be making a killing with the ratings by showing this. They've ran it probably a dozen times in the last couple of weeks. That's fine by me. The more people exposed to what happened over there, the better.
