So please give me documented proof, from a non-Christian group, of this currently happening in Vietnam. I am not talking about people being prosecuted who happen to be Christian, but where their only crime is being Christian.

If you were in earnest, then categorically excluding descriptions of Christians being persecuted, FROM Christians, would not be a good place to start.

How about someone I know and trust who knew a pastor of a village church who was beaten to death in front of his congregation and then the congregation was trucked away to....? This happened in 2006. Why? They were Christian and were illegally meeting. Sorry I don't have photos and the witnesses are no longer around to talk to.
In many Arab countries, they just kill us. Re-Education is beyond the pale. Where have you been born and housed to think people are no persecuted for being a Christian. Many have been thrown in prisons and such camps as these.
