Wishful thinking. No one is sent in Vietnam to a re-education camp simply for being Christian. Gee, I missed your qualifying statement in your original post, which I corrected for you.
Last time I checked Vietnam was a Communist state, that means any one who who professes their belief in a higher power above the state is in danger of needing reeducation to correct that deficiency in their thought.

In name only. In reality, Vietnam is fast becoming one of the most capitalist countries in South-East Asia. It is a thriving free-market.
The CIA factbook shows Vietnam as 9.3% Buddhist and 6.7% Catholic. The numbers are much higher than that.
