Really? Communist gave the land to the peasants? How does that work? The state owns the land under communism. Foreigners are now being allowed to buy houses (and land?) in Vietnam. Vietnam is very much capitalist at this point.

Foreigners are now being allowed to buy houses (and land?) in Vietnam. Vietnam is very much capitalist at this point. I checked the CIA Fact Book, Vietnam is still listed as a communist state. If you buy property from a communist, you are merely renting it. Vietnam may be moving to a fascist state with a market economy, but that remains to be seen.
