Welcome home brother
In November, 1965, I was a sophomore in high school. Seems like a lifetime ago.
Wow, I just checked out that book from the library today!
Pinging to Vietnam vets and family members.

Ping!
Welcome Home, Ronnie.
I was in Subic 40 years ago today repairing ships of the Seventh Fleet.
Great movie.
In November, 1965, I was a sophomore in high school. Seems like a lifetime ago.
I had received a draft notice a few days before.
Addendum:
40 years ago! How time flies.
Patriot Bump!
I registered for the draft November 9, 1968. I still remember the rather rotund lady typing out my Draft Card in triplicate on her manual Remington typewriter..... She never even glanced up at me....She just finished typing and yelled....NEXT!
GARRY OWEN
Let Bacchus' sons be not dismayed
But join with me, each jovial blade
Come, drink and sing and lend your aid
To help me with the chorus:
Chorus
Instead of spa, we'll drink brown ale
And pay the reckoning on the nail;
No man for debt shall go to jail
From Garryowen in glory.
We'll beat the bailiffs out of fun,
We'll make the mayor and sheriffs run
We are the boys no man dares dun
If he regards a whole skin.
Chorus
Our hearts so stout have got no fame
For soon 'tis known from whence we came
Where'er we go they fear the name
Of Garryowen in glory.
Chorus
Bump - Thanks for the ping.
