In his 31 years in the USMC, how much was active duty? I have had my fill of career reservists.

Murthas district has reaped the harvests of many a Department of Defense budget, year in and year out.

Time to put the hurts on those electing these goof balls to office.

Even though Murtha is senile he still has to own up to his incredulous statements.

There are some like him but most are not. many of them had to many kids or careers that have taken off but still want to serve and help the country.

Like many congressmen, he carried out his reserve duties at his own pace and liking until he got another pension, and the votes of patriots each time he ran, because it used to be helpful for a person seeking votes to have a military record.

Now that is not a necessity if you are a democrat, indeed, it can even be a liability in a lot of congressional districts.

I'm still proud of my twelve years of active duty, and I didn't even finish the last eight to get a pension.
