The Pope forgave him a long time ago.

Forgiveness, a moral issue, and deterrence, a practical issue, are two different things.

What Islamist fanatics are being taught by Europe is that they can beat a U.S. Navy servicemember to death or shoot the Pope when they are in their 20's and then be freed by the Europeans when they are in their 40's.

Pontential Islamists recruited for terror operations in Europe no longer have to weigh the negative of giving their lives for radical Islam. Now they only have to give 20 years for radical Islam.

Maybe he can hang out with John Hinkley?

This doesn't bother me at all because 1) the victim specifically forgave him

Except his other victim died.

Given that the these lunatics use political assassination as a means to gain political power, I'm of the opinion that "forgiveness" is the last thing we need.

The only thing these animals understand is punishment and death. Anything else is viewed as weakness, decadence, an encouragement to perform even greater acts of violence.

YEAH....what YOU said....we can "forgive" someone, but that does NOT mean we have to FORGET their sins, and expect them to be paid.....

Well, forgive him then. And you can share the guilt when he kills again.

Mercy to the cruel is cruelty to the merciful.

More great news.

And, too, Hinkley is just a few months away from being permanently released.

We can forgive him but that does not mean he should be walking free amongst us.

No problem. Just release him in a well publicized time and place - in Poland.

Twenty years is a pretty good stretch for attempted murder, especially in a place like Europe.

Frankly, I wonder how long Agca will survive after he is released. He has managed to keep his mouth shut for 20 years in prison, but will the KGB trust him to run around the streets with the knowledge he has?

He would be well advised to enter some sort of witness protection program, or he will not be long for this world.

When's Sirhan Sirhan going to be freed on parole?

He's served more time for killing (allegedly) just one person than most murderers in CA, 38 years. Isn't that enough penance.

Plus I'm sure he won't do it again.

.

A revealed part of the 3rd Secret of FATIMA predicted the attempted assassination of a Pope 64 years ahead of time.

Pope JOHN PAUL II personally attritbuted only our Lady of FATIMA's deflecting of this expert assassin's bullets, away from vital organs, as saving this Pope's life.

An unrevealed part of the 3rd Secret of FATIMA has to do with the End of the World. Something MEL GIBSON is following closely as he is filming "APOCALYPTO," a story about the end times of an enlightened Mayan Civilization ...whose calendar ended in the year 2012 AD..!!!

St. John also talks of End Times in the Bible coming when a third of the princes of the Church, princes being Priets, turn darkly into princes of evil. Relating to the current Priestly Sexuaul Abuse of Catholic children worldwide and its cover-up.

Can't wait to see this movie...
'cause...

MEL's -PASSION- was sparked by -WE WERE SOLDIERS-

WHY?! So he can take a stab at shooting the current Pope. This is an absolutely crazy decision. If true....

The AP quotes court officials that the perp completed his sentence but not that he is no longer considered a threat to society (read: most especially the current pope).

It also says his motives remain unclear.

That must reassure a lot of folks.

Yes with a broom stick.

Kind of ironic.

Giants are stinking up the field. Giants get the ball back, nearly fumble the punt return, and 2 plays later Carolina is up 17-0 off the interception and long run by Smith for TD.
