I'm afraid Rice will lose her tolerance for the ad homonym attacks she is increasingly experiencing and will decline to run.Just imagine what they'd be like during the campaign.

With HILLARY as President,
BILL CLINTON will not be sleeping in the Lincoln bedroon, he will be plotting. Talk Radio will be dead.

And we might add,
...so will internet speak be dead.

The survey found that 79 percent of participants were willing to vote for a woman as president...

The more interesting statistic implied is that 21% were NOT willing to vote for a woman president. Which means the female candidate would be competing for votes only within a 79% subset of the population. I daresay the percentage of people willing to vote for a male as president is somewhere close to 100%.

I don't know, but I do know one thing: I would personally walk to Colorado to vote for Condi. She is am amazing woman who has probably done more than we will ever know to save her country since 9/11. My dream ticket has always been some combo of Rice/Guiliani, Guiliani/Rice, though recently I haven't followed US politics closely enough to know various governors, etc.

The presidency is a thankless job that ages people prematurely, so I'd understand if she wanted to be the NFL commissioner. Whatever she chooses to do, we owe her a debt of gratitude.

The Republican nominee will be a man. Hillary has the Democratic nomination locked.

Whether or not the Republicans can win depends on the Iraq situation just before the election, if you ask me (assuming we still have troops there.)

Unfortunately Rice has NO plans to run and won't be goaded into running. Let Hillary run. Let her miserably fail.

The margin of error for the survey in both years was 2.9 percentage points. That could mean that Clinton's 2 percentage point drop in the "should run" category may not represent an actual change.

Typical MSM spin, why do they not also say it could mean a drop of almost 5%?

I'm convinced now that Dr. Rice will never run for office. The media held their fire for her rise to Sec. of State but if she seeks higher office they will trash her like no one has ever been trashed before. She doesn't want to be remembered for that, and right now her place in history is both honored and certain.

The latest nationwide Gallup Poll showed 56 percent of respondents disapproving of Bush's job performance and 39 percent approving -- the third lowest approval rating of his presidency.

That tends to be the natural effect when Gallop polls more Democrats. It might be nice if what I was told was the "Gold Standard" last election actually was, infact, worthy of the label. Far as I'm concerned they are closer to Zogby after giving Kerry the race, than they are RASS that nailed the election. The bright spot is that more outlets are FINALLY giving RASS the credit he deserves for being the one that, you know, nailed the election. GALLOP used to be THE poll. Their bias has weakened their rep rightly.

WASHINGTON -- Growing numbers of Americans oppose a presidential bid by Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., in 2008 -- and favor a run by Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice -- amid broad public willingness to elect a woman president, according to a nationwide poll released Sunday. Advertisement

Since this favors what other outlets more credible have stated, looks like Hillary's attempt to indoctrinate the public with Geena was successful. Just not in the direction she had hoped.

"As things stand now, I see a real possibility that a woman will be elected president in 2008," said Lonnstrom, a professor of finance and statistics and member of the American Association for Public Opinion Research. "Disapproval of President Bush has opened voters' eyes to alternatives -- and women benefit from that."

So disapproving they favor one of his closest cabinet members continuing his "legacy"? Interesting how they arrive at that tainted conclusion, isn't it? BTW, there are only two women that could theroetically be in the race for 2008 so the odds of a woman President isn't high. Hillary is only able to win if we hate our candidate on the GOP side, and Condi hasn't declared at all. Should she declare, then the calculations would change. As it stands if the only woman in the race is Hill, it isn't a real possibility,
