This is a miracle.

State and Defense finally getting their programs coordinated!

I never thought we'd see this day.

I figured it'd require a law requiring coordination between the Cabinet branches similar to Goldwater/Nichols.

Rumsfeld, who appeared with Casey before reporters, said one of the subjects they had discussed was engaging the emerging Iraqi government in talks on the future of military bases and the division of security responsibilities between American and Iraqi troops.

Maybe FNS will stop talking about the Duke LAX players for a few minutes, to discuss this.

Did AP forget about the part where Rummy and Condi went to Iraq to prop up Bush's sagging poll ratings that result from his failed policy of invading Iraq for no reason?

There are the makings of a nice little sandstorm blowing up in Baghdad right now. The wind is getting quite fierce out there.

I love it when visitors from the States get to see the real good stuff here.

I would expect that both department's leaders near proximity to their operatives in Iran is also a factor.
