This is what the looney left wants. By withdrawing, the U.S. collaborators will be punished for siding with the U.S. and the enemies of the U.S. will take over. To the dems and their lefty pals, this is a success. With AMerica having more enemies, the left will feel justified in their hared of America. They will see this as another reason why the world hates AMerica and will use it in their schizophrenic political philosophy.

The sheikhs' primary concern was the U.S. would withdraw from the region, and those who collaborated with the U.S. and Iraqi forces would fall prey to al-Qaeda.
