Democrats Tamp Down Talk of Iranian Travel Plans
Fox News ^ | April 11, 2007 | Greg Simmons

Top Democrats sought to tamp down on Wednesday any speculation that Rep. Tom Lantos — or possibly House Speaker Nancy Pelosi — may be traveling to Iran, a day after revealing their willingness to travel there.

"No, the speaker has no intentions of going to Iran," Pelosi spokesman Nadeam Elshami said Wednesday afternoon in a telephone interview with FOXNews.com.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid also confirmed Wednesday that he is not going to Iran, although he didn't discount others who may make such plans. Reid pointed to the Iraq Study Group's recommendation that the United States begin discussions — at the foreign ministerial level — with Middle East nations, including Syria and Iran.

"The president is not doing that. He had a little meeting that really didn't amount to much. I think there should be, as the Iraqi Study Group said, strenuous, diplomatic negotiations with all the parties mentioned. I personally am not going to Iran, but that's up to individual members," Reid said.

Pelosi and Lantos last week returned from a high-profile trip to the Middle East which included a stop in Damascus to meet with Syrian President Bashar Assad. During their travel, which was roundly criticized by the media and occurred against the recommendations from the Bush administration, Lantos commented that the congressional delegation "had an alternative Democratic foreign policy."

---snip---

"Speaking just for myself, I would be ready to get on a plane tomorrow morning, because however objectionable and unfair and inaccurate many of [President Mahmoud] Ahmadinejad's statements are, it is important we have a dialogue with him," Lantos said.

Everyone in this country should read this article and know that the democrats are traitors! Anyone who tries to practice their own foreign policy without the consent of the president should be shot.

It still might happen if the opinion polls look favorable to them!

The ISG has a lot of idiotic suggestions in it. The Dems are stupid enough to think it is a mandate.

Trying to play ball with Syria and Iran right now is counterproductive to say the least. And the appearances given off by that sort of thing...well, it's precisely what the Dems want.

Lantos and Pelosi are followers of Jimmah Carter, kissing every murderous thug dictator’s ass they can find.

If they travel to Iran, I WILL travel to Washington to prevent their return to this country.

Wow, their internal polling must show that the Pelosi trip is sinking like a lead baloon. She told Leno last night that she talked tough to the Boy, quite a change in tone from her first triumphant pressers.

So Lantos wants to "be ready to get on a plane tomorrow morning" to meet with Ahmadinejad" because "it is important we have a dialogue with him."

I just can't fathom how a Jewish Holocaust survivor is so ready and willing to "dialogue" with the present-day Adolf Hitler.

Actually, they are using the ISG report as an excuse to circumvent Executive Branch Powers. They are not being stupid. They know exactly what they are doing here. It is not about talking to Syria or Iran. Is is about neutering the office of the Presidency. This is a coup. They want to make the case that you can negotiate with our enemy, no matter what the cost to our country. They want to prove to the naysayers that the peace-at-any-cost Party was right in 2004 when they said that they could make the world like us again.

They are Liberals before they are Americans and they will do whatever necessary to regain power and silence dissenters. There is a pattern with these people and right now, they are following the path of George McGovern in 1974.

Much as I hate to say it, I believe that if Rudy G. were POTUS this would NOT be happening. What happened to GW’s physical equipment?

Both Lantos and Soros are Hungarians, both are Jewish, both got saved by military intervention from Communism and/or Nazism.
Both try to influence and steer a future influenced and dominated by Islamists.
Soros by spending and undermining elected representatives Lantos by making good to further Islamic expansion.

The Germans used Sonderkommandos, (Jewish work details) to run the crematorias, and body burning pits. If Tom Lantos is such a lickspittle that he would join a Sonderkommandos, and throw an entire nation into the fire, because he hates Bush THAT much, perhaps his victimhood should be re-examined.

Let Repugnant Pelosi & ole Tom go to Iran. Then post their itinerary on the web. Give a reward to anyone that makes sure they don’t come back. Wow! What a scenario!

"No, the speaker has no intentions of going to Iran," Pelosi spokesman Nadeam Elshami

Just for information traitor Pelosi spokesman is from Syrian decent because I can tell this from here name. In fact her last name is ElShami from the word El Sham which is another Arabic name for Syria. Also his first name Nadeam is an Arabic name.

I get sick to my stomach everytime I hear this lady talking about leading America in a new direction. That is interesting that she has someone of Syrian decent steering her around too.
