And Rosie had to tell Elizabeth about being patriotic and how she supports the troops because she wants them home.

I do not question Rosie’s patriotism or that Rosie supports the troops in her own way. But I greatly question Rosie’s knowledge of the world situation, and think that Rosie and her kind simply do not understand / choose not to understand the threats to this country. They may not understand the threats because we have a Republican president. They would feel better about the use of military force if a good Democrat were the one using that force.

If I were going to create a character for a sitcom or movie that was as blatantly ignorant and exasperatingly stupid as Rosie O’D, I couldn't’t find a better model on which to base my search. A character has to be ‘believable’ to be good, but nobody would believe someone could actually be that dense........

I actually feel sorry for Rosie - I think she is angry and blinded and lost. But when she says things like this, I DO question her patriotism - she just called the troops stupid, poor and felonious. That’s hardly supportive in my opinion.
