This is starting to get good.

Agreed, but my rhetorical question of the moment is why has Bush all of the sudden grown a pair with veto threats?

I mean, the Iraq funding bill is obvious, but the hate (i.e. thought) crimes legislation? Gee, I thought the GOP's sole perogative was to get BDS Dhimmocrats to like them...

Congress is now dominated by Democrats. The Pres is in a situation he was not in before, so his behavior might be expected to adjust.

The GOP House never let crap like the “hate crimes” bill see the floor.

That’s why Bush has never had the occasion to veto it.
