Dalrymple has written an excellent essay. I will try to find some time this summer to read more of his writing. Has he written any books? I will do a web search when I have a lighter work schedule. If studying philosophy made him a better writer, he spent his time well.

He’s a fantastic writer. His piece on muslims in Paris, written in 2002, is a must read:

He wrote an essay a few years ago on cultural decay in England which was a real eye-opener, brilliantly written with some of his experiences woven in from working in govt health clinics.
