The international law that the US has violated, or so we have it from Gore a few paragraphs later on, is the Geneva Convention. In other words, he believes that terrorists should be given all the benefits of military combatants who serve under a recognized flag. He simply has no appreciation of the fact that there are tens of thousands of Islamists ready to destroy Western civilization and they don’t give a damn about his Western creation, the Geneva Convention.
