Egypt complains about U.S. lawmakers' meeting with Muslim Brotherhood member

CAIRO: Egypt criticized the United States after four members of Congress met with a lawmaker from the banned Muslim Brotherhood, less than two months after the House majority leader, Steny Hoyer, met the same politician.

A bipartisan delegation headed by Representative David Price, Democrat of North Carolina, met with President Hosni Mubarak early Sunday before going to Parliament to talk to a group of lawmakers that included Mohammed Saad el-Katatni of the Brotherhood.

I guess it's too much to hope that this information gets widely reported. Just the fact that the dims are going all over the world rubbing shoulders with our enemies and those on our terrorist lists makes me want to shake them senseless (oops, they already are senseless).

"Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them,
or, in adhering to their Enemies, giving them aid and comfort."

The "aid and comfort" prong of treason has been interpreted
by SCOTUS as requiring proof of four elements:
1. an intent to betray the United States (which can be inferred from);
2. an overt act;
3. witnessed by two people; and
4. that provides aid and comfort to an enemy of the United States.

The title is misleading

Egypt is upset US officials will meet with a member of the brotherhood who has denounced violence. But not meet with Hamas in Palestine

The piece is propaganda
