I have long said that the minimum wage needs to be buried along side all of the other ridiculous communist / socialist economic theories.

But then again, I’m just one of those who won life’s lottery and doesn’t have to be concerned with “minimum wage”, so it is hard for me to be sympathetic towards those “less fortunate”

By “winning life’s lottery” I mean working my rear end off and getting an education that makes me worth far more than minimum wage to any employer. I have no sympathy for someone whose labor is only $5.00 an hour because they were unwilling to apply the same effort, or make the same sacrificies.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I feel an attack of “influenza” coming on.

Exactly. The problem is that once ridiculous communist / socialist economic theories are put into practice they're almost impossible to end until they've totally destroyed whatever they're supposed to be "helping".

There are almost no reputable economists that support raising the minimum wage.

There are almost no "reputable journalists and politicians" who oppose it, at least according to the major media.

:-)

Most of the quotes in this article were howlers.
