From Kelly Hill to Ahn Ke (Camp Radcliff) to Ia Drang to NVA Route 60 and the Plei Trap Valley. A journey for one who has traveled it will never be forgotten. LTG Moore’s wife who played such a big role back at Fort Benning organizing the wives of 1st Cav soldiers was buried not too long ago at the Benning cemetary. God bless LTG Moore and Mrs. Moore.
That's the place in the story where I always crack up, when Mrs. Moore finds out what's going on and decided to deliver telegrams herself.

Oh, I’m sad to hear that Lt. Gen. Moore’s wife had died. She did so much for the wives of the men serving with her husband.
In case you didn’t know, Mrs. Moore passed away three years ago. There was a couple there that have taken care of the General since that time. The wife cooks for him, and interestingly she happens to look like Paula Dean. Since they are from Alabama and Paula is from Georgia they share the same passion for good ol’ country cooking. It is the friendship that they share that led to the book. The publisher donated 70,000 copies to Operation Gratitude for inclusion in the boxes, and copies for all of the volunteers.
Lt General Moore is one class act! Amazing man!
