WASHINGTON, D.C. Sen. John Kerry today made the follow statement in response to the Supreme Courts recent decision that foreign detainees held at Guantanamo Bay may challenge their detention in U.S. courts:
Today, the Supreme Court affirmed what almost everyone but the Administration and their defenders in Congress always knew. The Constitution and the rule of law bind all of us even in extraordinary times of war. No one is above the Constitution. The historic writ of habeas corpus endures. This is a major rebuke of the Administrations post-9/11 policies that have divided us at home, alienated and isolated us abroad, and made Americans less safe. The next step is to erase this great stain on our moral authority by promptly shutting down Guantanamo.
Didn’t this Kerry guy serve in Vietnam?
Who is “Sen. John Kerry?”
I guess it passes the “global test”.
the good looking one with the brains is on the left.
Yep, thats the one spent Christmas along the border of, what was it, mayhap Cambodia, during the Nixon presidency. What a putz.
Who is John Kerry? He’s the guy who served in Vietnam and killed innocent civilians on the river and covered it up by claiming that the adults were VC. Nothing about the young boy he machine-gunned to death.
In other words, Kerry is still a war criminal.
Trials, anyone?
Look up the word “butthole” in the dictionary.
You will see John Kerry’s picture.
Teddy came home 2 days ago and is now telling Johnny Boy what to say once again.
Teddy released his own statement today.
John Kerry is to Ted Kennedy..
What Charlie McCarthy was to Edgar Bergen.
Don’t understand me?
Google it!
Nobody with brains is on the left. ;-)
What Kerry and the other Dems can't answer is what other adminstration viewed as enemy combatants legal rights according to this ruling. Answer: none.
These brilliant "brain trusts" that are the Liberal Democrat Party probably don't realize that the decision that was decided by the "Supreme Court" made a decision based on the interpretation of the law that has not ever been made since the dawn of this country, don't they?
Question to the "Brain Trustee's" of the Supreme court: If it was so obvious, why did you side on the side of the ENEMY of the country that you are sworn to protect by the interpretation of the laws of America?
got it John. Enemy combatants who have been at war with the U.S. are to be treated as if they are criminals suspected of burglary, and arrested by your local police. Legally, the war against Islamo-fascism is a criminal justice problem.
Great minds truly do think alike. That's exactly the image that occurred to me as I read Kerry's drivel. If life were a "Twilight Zone" movie, Kerry would find himself in combat in Iraq, with a gang of probable Jihadis in front of him, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg-type behind him to remind him to read everyone their rights before he asked them to surrender peacefully.
Is there nothing he doesn’t think he has to comment on? JFnKerry is so 2004.
The comeback kid, don’t ya know.....
