The attorney general has suggested that those who oppose prosecuting these men here in New York City are afraid that we somehow dont have the courage to face Khalid Shaikh Mohammed in court.
How dare this man, who didnt have the decency to notify victims families of his decision to bring these monsters here, imply that we lack courage. Courage is carrying on after watching your loved ones die, in real time, knowing that they burned to death, were crushed to death, or jumped from 100 flights high. Courage is carrying on, even as we waited, in some cases years, for something of our loved ones to bury. More than 1,100 families still wait.
How dare the attorney general suggest that the firefighters who oppose this trial need to man up and let this avowed enemy of America mock their brother firefighters in the countrys most magisterial setting, a federal court.
Let me refresh the attorney general on the meaning of courage. Courage was going into those buildings that day, knowing they might not come out alive. Courage was digging for nine months on hands and knees, breathing in toxic smoke, to find the ravaged remains of brother firefighters, police officers, citizen responders and office workers. This courage was not summoned from false bravado; it sprang from an abiding love of their fellow human beings and a sense of obligation to them, their families and their beloved country.
Join us if you can Saturday 12/5 at noon in Foley Square, and co-sign our letter to President Obama.
OUTSTANDING post! Hooray Debra Burlingame!
Tomorrow I will see if anyone can cover my shift on Saturday. If so, I will be there!!!!

It’s time for AMERICA to rise up and fight Holder ... and his boss
Call every member of this disgusting and reprehensible Congress and voice your outrage over this and all the other reprehensible things this Administration is doing. Call 24/7.
202-225-3121 and ask for the moron of your choice.
I am surprised there hasn’t been a big riot over this to date. I bet that even the Mafia had kin working in the financial end that were done in.
BUMP...wish I could be there..
I heard Ann Coulter with Hannity’s fill-in and a Rep/Senator named Gomer? They discussed how Congress could stop this (and make Dems TRY to vote against it) and another strategy that is worth pursuing.
This circus trial is Holder and Obama’s “hail mary” in their last ditch efort to put the Bush White house on trial and uplift the Muslim cause. I don’t think New York will allow it to happen-—REVOLT ?????
This rally notice needs to be at the top of the Activism sidebar. I was looking for it the other day and couldn't find it.
It will take 18 months to get the terrorists into the US and the trial scheduled. Add two month months for jury selection. That nails it to the 2012 primaries.

Not to worry, though, we've seen how successful Homeland Security has been so far with stopping “Sudden Jihad Syndrome”.
It would be rather difficult to cover up any “unfortunate incident” in the most densely-populated area of the US.
Thanks Ronnie! Have it saved now. ;*)
The congress has the right to stop this under the Constitution. All they need is the cajones.
I need to digest some of what was in this article. Did Holder actually say that the families were frightened and the Firefighters need to man-up?????
Tell me he did not say this and this is more of a play on words.
AMERICAN THINKER.com - blog: 'TERRORIST CRIMINAL TRIALS AND THE COMING JIHAD" by Abraham H. Miller (SNIPPET: "Obama is willing to compromise intelligence and provide the jihadists with a propaganda platform because he needs to placate the extremist elements of his political base. By taking these terrorists out of the military's hands and putting them into the criminal justice system, Obama is redefining terrorism as a criminal justice issue and not as irregular warfare. In this, Obama is beginning a process that will reshape the meaning of terrorism in consonance with the sympathetic, minimalist notions of leftist ideology. Terrorist trials in the media capital of the world will be a magnet for the inspired publicity of jihadism.") (November 27, 2009)

Regardless of which motives apply, one thing is clear: Our enemy is at war against us while we are in a suicidal, 9/10 state of denial.") (November 16, 2009)

CNS NEWS.com: "In May, Obama Said He'd Use Military Commissions to Try Terrorists 'Who Violate the Laws of War' and to Protect Intelligence Sources and Trial Participants" by Terence P. Jeffrey (SNIPPET: "In a speech delivered six months before his administration decided to try 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheik Mohammed in a federal civilian court, President Barack Obama said he would use military commissions to try terrorists who "violate the laws of war" and to protect intelligence sources and methods as well as the safety of the people who would need to participate in such trials. In the speech, Obama said: "We are indeed at war with al Qaeda and its affiliates." Additionally, he warned in the May 21 speech that "al Qaeda is actively planning to attack us again" and that after 9/11 the nation had entered an era in which we faced "enemies who did not abide by any law of war."") FOX NEWS.com: "BLINDED PRISON GUARD: Don't House Terror Suspects in NYC" by Joseph Abrams (SNIPPET: "On Nov. 1, 2000, Pepe was ambushed in the cell of Mamdouh Mahmud Salim -- an alleged top aide to Usama bin Laden. Salim's cellmate, another Al Qaeda suspect, joined in the attack, which prosecutors say was an attempt to steal Pepe's keys to the cell block to free other prisoners and take hostages. The two had been granted permission by a federal judge to purchase hot sauce, says Pepe's sister, which they then stored in a honey jar and used to create a blinding mace. Teaming up against Pepe, they beat and blinded him, covering the floor in his spattered blood. They then tried to rape him as he waited an entire hour for fellow guards to come to his aid, his sister said. "They wanted to discredit the badge and what he stood for," Eileen Trotta told FoxNews.com. "After they plunged him in the eye with that makeshift knife, they did the sign of the cross on his chest." Trotta said it would be like "deja vu" to see more Al Qaeda detainees shipped into New York for trial, where their court hearings will be just blocks from Ground Zero. There's no reason why everything has to be in New York, especially after 9/11 and what happened to Louis," she said. "It doesn't make sense -- why bring them into the hotbed of the city?"")
