Comedienne Joan Rivers ditched a gag about Michelle Obama from her routine - because she feared she'd be accused of racism. The comedy legend wrote a joke about US President Barack Obama's wife, poking fun at her dress sense and comparing her to former First Lady Jackie Onassis by dubbing her "Blackie O". But she backed out of using the line on her chat show for US network E! - to avoid criticism that the joke was racially-motivated. Rivers tells Britain's Independent Magazine, "I was going to compare her to Jackie O, but call her Blackie O."

If Joan Rivers FELT an inkling to tell it...then she’s guilty already...ask Juan Williams
*inkling* I think that word has racist overtones.
If liberals can’t make a joke about him then liberals really aren’t ready for a black President, are they.
Heck, I had second thoughts of pulling this article up for fear of the ‘’Reading Police’’ would break into my office
overTONES - racist implications.
Yes...”Ink” = Dark...oh my
I’m definitely a racist because I LMAO before I realized that I probably shouldn’t...oh well.
Indeed, “blackie” IS not in good taste.
Can we still call Zero and/or Shellie “clueless”, “imbeciles”, “clownish”, etc., or is that out of bounds too?

Stupid, not funny...
Might be a little racist...
Bad joke Trifecta!
Oops....
Wookyism, maybe.
well? calling a black person blackie IS racist. no matter what it rhymes with. as much as I was prepaed to jump all over this self-censorship, when I read what the offending remark was, I tend to agree with her.
Good one.
I doubt if she cares that the pctwits will attempt to ruin her. She is clever and competent, something that those this manufacture is intend to hook are not.
In fact, it is likely considered by her a good career move, given the current environment and whatnot.
I am thinking that Joan is no liberal.
