A student killed in the University of North Carolina-Charlotte shooting is being hailed as a hero for leaping in front of the gunman in an attempt to stop him.
Riley Howell, 21, was in his liberal studies class at the university Tuesday with about 30 other students when the shooter burst in and opened fire.
The brave junior ran at the gunman and knocked him off his feet, allowing fellow students the chance to escape.
“He’s an athletically built young man and he took the fight to the assailant,” said Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department Chief Kerr Putney. “His sacrifice saved lives.”
Without Howell’s intervention, capturing Trystan Andrew Terrell might have taken longer, Putney said.
His aunt, Morgan Howell Moylan told CNN she wasn’t surprised to hear about her “super fit” nephew’s brave last act.
“He did such a heroic thing,” Moylan said. “He was everybody’s protector. You felt safe when you were with Riley.”

Seems like he was on the edge and fell off into insanity.
Yeah, I was a UNCC student myself and have done adjunct work too. I know this shooter left a tumblr post saying that he was flunking statistics and the dean wouldn’t listen to him, blah blah.
Of course, the whole story has dropped of the earth because 1) it was a handgun 2) the guy comes from a mixed race family and 3) it’s possible that there were clear warning signs the college ignored. Also, the shooter was autistic.

Of course, but in today’s society it’s all about virtue signaling, youtube views, twitter followers, and “Keeping Up with the Kardashians”.
Fame is fleeting but the Lord’s Grace is eternal.
I have no doubt this young man is truly one of the Lord’s favorites while the Kardashians and Kaitlyn don’t even register as a blip on His radar.

Not enough deaths to be big news.. But still getting some coverage.
Generally the media uses the opportunity to advance their narrative that shootings are rampant.
Yet the media didn't link these two as they usually do.
I find it curious the MSM didn't include this in their gun narrative.
Is there something about the suspect they don't want us to know?
