Really well stated. I never watch ( my wife puts on weather and baseball games, I will watch Highway thru Hell —there goes my reputation as being well read and sophisticated). Actually I read for hours each day instead of TV. History,Bible,politics,popular culture,biography.

I have many old TV shows (MSquad,Untouchables,Adam12,Highway Patrol, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea....) and war movies (Gung Ho,Run Silent,Run Deep, Torpedo Run,Midway,Battle of Britian,Longest Day,Tora Tora Tora...)
