Jon Voight says the Democratic Party has changed so much that it "doesn't represent America anymore."
“I’m a big supporter of our president, and I feel that what has happened with the Democratic party is something that I’d never thought I’d see happen," the "Deliverance" actor said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter published Wednesday.
"This is not the Democratic party of John Kennedy, who I was in support of,” Voight, one of the few and most prominent entertainers in Hollywood to publicly support President Trump, said.
“They had many heroes in the Democratic party. They have no heroes today. There’s a lot of slander and name-calling and lying that’s going on and passing itself off as news. This is my opinion. That’s where I stand and I don’t like it," the 80-year-old performer said during the premiere in Los Angeles of daughter Angelina Jolie's new movie, "Maleficent: Mistress of Evil."
"Somebody has to stand up and say that and punch back at that nonsense. This is not America. The Democratic party doesn’t represent America anymore," Voight said.

"The Democratic party has been undermined and overtaken, and I wish it could recoup itself and that there could be people who would stand up for the Democratic party that we have known and we have counted on and there are not anybody in that group who is standing up and protecting it. They are falling in," Voight continued.

There aren’t any Harry Trumans’ running.
They represent world-wide liberalism, the followers of which outnumber self-reliant Americans by about 200 to one.
They’re going to try to set up a voting competition between those two demographic groups. They’re trying everything they can think of to make it happen.
The Democratic Party leadership doesn’t even represent most Democrats anymore, and the rank and file need to liberate their party from the communists and foreign national blocs that have seized control of it.

The DemoRATS have thrown America into a constitutional crisis! With Washington in turmoil, the country is at grave risk. Trump should declare martial law and suspend Congress as a signal to our enemies that he’s still in command.
Martial law should remain in place until William Barr and Rudy Giuliani get to the bottom of what’s going on.
Let’s face it. Most of our so-called representatives in the House and Senate don’t represent us anymore and have not for many years.

My former brother-in-law’s whole family were staunch Democrats for years. I told him in the mid-1990s that if he truly loved the Democrat Party, he would start raising hell with them and not vote for them for a while because some really bad people were gaining control of it. He now recognizes that what I told him was absolutely true. He now votes Republican.
The Rats represent George Soros, only.
Hard to believe this is the same Jon Voight, that was in that movie “Coming Home” with Jane Fonda.
I don’t think Voight changed that much, as the Democratic Party has over that time.

You are correct. There are too few “representatives” for the population of this country.
We have “representatives” in name only. They actually only represent their party leaders and major donors.
The rest of us can Go To H3ll, as far as they are concerned.
