Trump rips George W. Bush after he calls for unity amid coronavirus outbreak

President Trump on Sunday took aim at George W. Bush after the former Republican president issued a call to push partisanship aside amid the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.

In a three-minute video shared on Twitter on Saturday, Bush urged Americans to remember "how small our differences are in the face of this shared threat."

"In the final analysis, we are not partisan combatants. We are human beings, equally vulnerable and equally wonderful in the sight of God," Bush said. "We rise or fall together, and we are determined to rise."

In an early morning tweet on Sunday, Trump called out Bush for his failure to support him as he faced an impeachment trial earlier this year over his alleged dealings with Ukraine. He cited apparent comments from Fox News anchor Pete Hegseth, who asked why Bush didn't push for "putting partisanship aside" amid the trial.

"He was nowhere to be found in speaking up against the greatest Hoax in American history," Trump said.

Donald J. Trump ✔ @realDonaldTrump .@PeteHegseth “Oh bye the way, I appreciate the message from former President Bush, but where was he during Impeachment calling for putting partisanship aside.” @foxandfriends He was nowhere to be found in speaking up against the greatest Hoax in American history!

I wouldn't call that tweet 'ripping' nor were those Trump's words.

Fake headline from MSM to create a illusion of a fight..

Did anybody bother to ask Chimpy McChimp exactly who he thought was being partisan?

You only get three guesses and the first two don't count.

I would have been congenial and tried to acknowledge someone meeting me halfway. That’s why I never made any money and Trump is a billionaire and President.

Bush and his alleged crime family (2017 Roger Stone book) were in on many Deep State deals that sold out the American people for the insiders’ benefit.

Where were all the people when AN INNOCENT MAN WAS BEING IMPEACHED? Sorry if the caps offended anyone.

This is what the F'ng MSM calls "ripping". At most, Pres. Trump is being mildly sarcastic.

George W. Bush deserves much worse for his role in trying to turn the USA into North Mexico.

Purposely refusing to secure the border and enforce the laws.

Facilitating the Kenyanesian Usurpation.

Bush was a most silent president. He should follow that style in this crisis. Nothing else he can say now will help. _Please sit down and be silent.

"how small our differences are in the face of this shared threat."

Small differences? One party wants to continually insult, degrade, impeach, (fill in the blanks), and this ass has to open his mouth.

I still remember when Bush failed to rescue Terri Schiavo from a long, painful and cruel death. And now this hypocrite is telling us to "work together." Tell that to Terri's family when you were afraid to step forward to save her life.

Shut up, George Bush!

Hey, Bush! If we needed lame platitudes, we’d go to your little buddy B-HO. Thank you for your service but please go back and paint stuff.

George W. Bush? Wasn’t he “literally Hitler” just a few years ago? Come to think of it, seems like Mitt Romney, John McCain, Paul Ryan, and even Bob Dole were also “literally Hitler.” I guess when you have a playbook that works, you stick with it.

Ronald Reagan’s biggest mistake was to choose George Bush as his running mate. Had he not done so, there would never have been a Bush dynasty.

CAN’T BELIEVE I VOTED FOR AND DEFENDED THIS POS IN THE 2000s HERE ON FR.

Don't forget FR's #1 greatest strategist of all time, the "Magnificent Bastard" Karl Rove, who still bores folks with his whiteboard on Fox News.

+++++
Trump wants: Deaths to decline, drugs to be successful, the economy to rapidly recover, people get back to work and Coronavirus related restrictions lifted.

The Dems want more deaths, drugs to fail, the economy to continue to fall, unemployment to rise and the restrictions to remain in place indefinitely.

Somehow I still see a partisan divide here.

I saw Pete say this, and I applaud Trump for stating the obvious. Bush should have come out against the 100% partisan impeachment. Sheesh, George Pataki has bigger cajones, Pataki came out last Friday saying Cuomo’s policy of shipping sick elderly to nursing homes to die is blood on little andy’s hands.

More like they went down because everything went bad, first Iraq then the economy.

Those trying to defend him here by claiming that Iraq went just great and he bear NO responsibility for the economy (after 7 years in office) had a tough job.

Rush, Hannity and Levin were all still defending him in 2008 and 2009
