My wife was buying her first firearm and the clerk said the FBI system is designed to turn down almost everybody for instant purchase and most get declined at the end of 7 days. Is that true?
Hunter Biden didn’t seem to have any problems. Regardless, I see your point. I think that “background” checks should be instant. Swipe ID, checks for anything that wouldn’t allow someone to purchase, done. No chance of “lying”, no possibility of the FBI creating a database (like everyone knows they are doing), FFL records would still be kept, although there should be something done about bATFezyx abuse. This should apply to NFA weapons as well, everyone know they make it as difficult as possible and it should be instant. Swipe ID, pay the tax, that should be the end of it.
