How in hell could they not release him?

Jake Angeli's first attorney convinced him to accept what turned out to be a terrible plea deal. He plead guilty to "obstructing an official proceeding." He received the minimum sentence: 41 months.

Angeli's current attorney sounds uncertain about what will now be legally necessary to get him out of prison.

Jake Angeli is also called Jake Chansley.I don't know why.

I met Jake, spent some time with him and took a few pics of him and those I was with. I might do a thread on that.

And again, his attorneys did what they did based on the evidence presented. The problem is, the corrupt prosecutors withheld exculpatory evidence which very well could have changed his entire trial/proceedings.

He also apparently, as part of that deal, signed a waiver for a right to see any more evidence, and agreed not to appeal. He’s procedurally blocked from getting his case before another judge.

He’s boxed in far worse than Flynn was.

He’s not likely to get released without a commuting or a pardon.
