Interesting comment from Trump, as the ousting of McCarthy over the budget and Ukraine funding puts him in an uncertain position.

Will he support McCarthy, who he originally endorsed and supported for Speaker? To do that, now, he would have to throw his #1 supporter in Congress, Gaetz, under the bus, and come out in favor of the bloated budgets and Ukraine funding Gaetz was able to block.

Trump questions why GOP is 'always fighting among themselves'

Because better than half of the "GOP" are not conservatives. They are Liberal Lites

First one of the seven dwarfs to support Gaetz in this would make a giant step in beating Trump.

What a stupid thing for Trump to say.

It’s a good question, although in this case all MacCarthy had to do to keep his job was to not agree to any side deals with the Democrats, as he promised.

According to a townhall link, McCarthy has thrown in the towel

“It’s confirmed. Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), booted as the Speaker of the House of Representatives today, will not run again for his former office.”

Ourselves?? We are fighting to get rid of those not like ourselves, that’s why. Good Grief, Trump can be dense sometimes.

It’s called draining the swamp Mr president. We all knew it would be an ugly, drawn out process. Once the gop is purged of the rats in republican clothing,
Then we can start giving the lefties helicopter rides.

For years the Republican Party has stood for nothing, and has been rudderless.

This is the inevitable result of that.

"Former President Trump seemed to disapprove of the drama playing out in Congress' lower chamber. 'Why is it that Republicans are always fighting among themselves, why aren’t they fighting the Radical Left Democrats who are destroying our Country?' "

There happens to be an unflattering term for being hypocritically pious.

One guess, starts with an "s"

Republicans are always fighting among themselves because we are the largest, and most diverse, political coalition in the history of the world.

In a parliamentary system, Republicans would be at least six different political parties that all managed to win seats, but were forced together by numerical necessity to govern.

In Europe and Israel, Right Wing political parties compromise AFTER an election.

In the USA, the Republican Party compromises BEFORE the election.

In the USA, the Political Left is a highly disciplined rigid monolith.

In the rest of world, and through out history, the Political Left has often murdered its own malcontents.

MSNBC brought back Chris Matthews over this to say the GOP is bringing down its own party. Oh the drama and hand-wringing is ridiculous.

Because, Mr. Trump, we want conservative leadership. That’s why you, and others, are “fighting amongst” yourselves for the presidential nomination.

I suppose we *could* settle for “leadership” from some simp like your boy Kevin McCarthy and we *could* settle for some liberal loser like Chris Christie for our presidential nominee.

Or maybe “fighting amongst ourselves” is a good thing when the alternative is to give up and accept some liberal schmuck because 1/100th of a loaf is better than none.
