Vingroup’s Chairman, Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong, announces that he will donate 99.8 percent of VinES Energy Solutions Joint Stock Company’s shares to VinFast. The merger is designed to enhance VinFast’s self-sufficiency in battery technology and its production chain, while increasing its competitive edge in the ever-growing electric vehicle market.

Sadly, much of what I have read after buying the stock is how much and most of the car is Chinese parts, simply assembled in Vietnam. Maybe that changes with the US assembly plant?

Not real new story, but they are building up…

LOTS of VinFast in Vietnam so far, since basically everyone here rides a motorcycle.

They may have some Chinese tooling, but the cars are Vietnamese.

Good suggestion.

I can’t contribute from Vietnam, but I have contributed in the past, and I will again in the future once I return to America.

Thanks for the reminder. 😎

I wasn’t directing that suggestion to you.

It was borne out of frustration at Free Republic’s never-ending FReepathons.

I’ve always enjoyed your posts and consider you a positive contributor to Free Republic.
