I have never supported taxation.
I have never supported redistribution of wealth.
But I look around at this world run by “the elite” and I start to think that society needs to have a ceiling of maybe $10-20M for rich families. Not even Tom Brady, Bill Gates, Tom Cruise, or Joe Biden needs to have more. Cap ‘em all at $10-20M, including real estate.
The rich are screwing this country. I hate to say that. This is the sort of attitude I have despised my whole life. But something has gone very wrong here.
The problem is idle wealth, people with money who have no appreciation as to how wealth is earned.
These are the people that make groups like Black Lives Matter possible.
AT LEAST BRADY & CRUISE are EARNING their wealth.
I would rather sit down to dinner with Brady & Cruise than any of the others.
I look around this forum, and it’s not hard to find disciples of Karl Marx ...

The estate tax: Let people who earned their wealth enjoy it. But don’t pass it on to the slacker next generation.

The Roosevelts, Carnegies, Rockefellers were not perfect, but they did have a very well cultivated concern for the good of the people.
They created universities, massive networks of libraries, hospitals and aid societies.
Modern day robber barons are just leftists whose dollars go to Cloward-Piven and anarchic activities only. Their aim is aggrandizement of the super wealthy class.
Not so their forbears.
