Can’t disagree she’s a nasty one, but...
SCOTUS made pretty clear that this should be a STATE issue.
US Senators and Congresscritters ought just stay the hell out of it.
Let each State set their own parameters.
Well said. Abortion is no longer a national issue. I’m not really sure people understand that reality.
As with the death penalty, speed limits, state taxation, etc...each state will find their own balance with abortion. This is as it should be.
I’m with the comedian Bill Burr on this issue. He believes women have the right to choose, but he also believes its killing a baby. There’s just no way to resolve these two competing realities which is why it is such a tough issue.
Eventually (over the next 100 years), most states will probably allow abortion in the first trimester. It will very depending on the state in the second trimester. It will be disallowed in the third trimester.
If Roe V Wade didn’t get instituted back in the early 70’s, most states would probably already be at this point. But, Roe v Wade stopped all debate causing the natural evolution of this issue to be stymied....and for extremes (abortion until birth in CA and illegal to have an abortion under any circumstance as in Tennessee) to take over.
And so it has been said.....
