Yup. If anyone still wonders how America reached this dismal point, read Robert Bork's, "Slouching Towards Gomorrah". It's quite a few years old, but it explains the hows and whys our nation is slipping into the abyss. He points out it actually starts with the "Greatest Generation" and picks up speed with their children, the "Boomers". From there on its a race towards the bottom with the succeeding generations.
