What we have now is a new religion pretending to be science, i.e. just the facts. It is not relativistic or even pluralistic, but is very intolerant of what it believes to be backward thinking. To our current "elites", we are the pagans believing in an invisible God and fairy tales about some guy who walked on water.

It’s not either/or. There is more than one “what we have now”. Paganism is one. “Transhumanist divinity” (yeah, that’s actually a thing; google it) is another. In fact, what you describe as “what we have now” also describes elements of transhumanist divinity. Islam is yet another. All of them are antichrist. All of them are in spiritual reality the assorted masks of satan.
