So stupid. The Russians should be our ally against the real enemy China.
Comparing Russia and China, Russia is far more similar to the USA than China, not saying that we should be close allies with Russia, but we should be enemies either.
All we’ve done is push Russia close to China which is incredibly shortsighted and stupid.
I was saying that after the collapse of the Soviet Union over 30 years ago.
But the Neocons rubbed Russia's nose in their humiliation. They also sent Harvard "economic advisors" to Russia, to help their oligarchs financially rape the Russian people.
The Neocons thought that America as a unipolar superpower would last throughout the 21st century. That America could "remake the Middle East" and democratize (subdue) the entire world.
Their imperial dreams began with the collapse of the Soviet Union and Gulf War, and pretty much ended with our humiliating withdrawal from Afghanistan.
I agree with that. I would rather see them as Western-aligned allies than what the relationship we have now. Problem is, I hardly recognize what passes for today’s “West” and we are locked in a cold war with forces within our own country that are slowly transforming the United States into something that is no longer united.
And the Chinese have been bribing the federal bureaucrats right-and-left for at least a couple decades to make certain that didn’t happen, IMO. Not to mention their influencing the media and academia. All with our dollars for cheap products.
The Bible predicts China and Russia will join forces against Israel at some point in the future.
