Brings back memories of working NICU. If the doctors didn’t like the parent’s “no,” they’d take the case to the ethics committee and court. Refuse a blood transfusion for your baby, and find how much they’re already owned. And those PKUs on everyone- the X-Files movie outed that and some still know why it was originally implemented. What can track to save can also track to kill. Putting power back into the hands of the parents is a good thing.

Even without this law, how would doctors (or anyone) not the legal guardian have the non-emergent authority to place a DNR on any kid? That just screams for a revoked license!
